Make sure you cut on the same crease I cut.
Line up the back flaps and staple.
Staple the other end,.
Try to make symmetrical cuts.
Fold it up to make the back of the mailbox.
Squish it down to make it the right shape before you tape.
Use 1 piece of construction paper to cover it.
Line up the paper with the front of the mailbox.
The paper flaps are too long on the back so I need to trim them.
I trimmed all the sides except one last flap, so it will be a little smoother looking on the back.
Tape that big flap.
Tape on a Dollar Store Heart Pique. (I had to cut the stem down to size. Just use scissors.)
Give the kids some stickers (including letter stickers so they can put their name on it) and let them decorate their box. Enjoy!
